  • Eggs -citing Forest School

    Published 27/03/23

Sharing the story 'We're going on an egg hunt' by Martha Mumford really sparked the children's imaginations.

We had bunnies appearing on the trees...

and even the big, bad wolf...

Many of the children decided to make their own eggs and took great care of them...

    laying blankets over them...

    wrapping them up...

building them a nest and feeding them...

and with all of this great care, do you know what????! Cracks started to appear in the shells ...

    beaks appeared...

    then legs and wings...

and purple rabbits and flying unicorns hatched!

  • Celebrating Earth Day

    Published 23/03/23

This week we have been celebrating Earth Day. We shared the story 'I Love Earth' by Todd Parr and chatted about all the things that we love about our earth and what we can do to help keep it wonderful.

Then what better way to celebrate Earth Day than with mud cakes, making moss footballs, climbing trees, looking for worms and getting creative with nature...

We had an exhilarating time in the woods today, with a focus on collaboration, knots and fun!

The children were split into four teams and went away to think of a Team Name and create a picture to represent their team outside their den...

    We had Team Snake...

    Team Pro...

    Team Wild

    And Team Badger

Then it was time to work on tactics and play Capture the Flag!
